The CAFEC ABACA Trapezoid Filter Paper 103 has a trapezoidal shape and is designed for brewing 5-7 servings of coffee. They are compatible with filter coffee makers with a 1×4 funnel (e.g. Moccamaster, Melitta), Cafec 103 pourover, and Clever pourover.
Thanks to the original production technology, CAFEC filters have a double-sided crepe that holds a thin layer of air between the paper and the funnel. This ensures a stable flow rate of coffee extract through the filter and uniform extraction during all brewing steps.
The filter material combines ABACA (Manila hemp) fibers and wood pulp from reforestation projects, making this paper environmentally friendly. ABACA fiber is four times stronger than conventional cellulose and half as thin, giving the filters excellent air permeability, strength and elasticity.
ABACA is officially approved by the JHDC (Japan Hand-Drip Championship) as a high-quality filter paper for professional use. And to preserve the purity of the taste of the finished drink, the filters undergo oxygen bleaching, without the use of chemical additives.
