Dotyk is a one-of-a-kind pourover that attracts with its unique shape and special philosophy. Dotyk is made from Ukrainian clay, which is mined in quarries near Sloviansk.
Shape: The holes, which are located throughout the entire area of the pourover, help the coffee to degas quickly and evenly during brewing. The coffee also begins to aerate (become saturated with air) already during brewing.
The drop-shaped, sharp shape of the ribs helps reduce contact between the paper filter and the device, holding it steady during brewing.
Minimal contact of the paper filter with the device helps water pass evenly through the coffee tablet, which promotes even extraction.
The main feature of the Dotik pourover is the temperature regime: this device does not need to be warmed up, because the drop-shaped, sharp shape of the ribs reduces the contact of the paper filter with the funnel, so the Dotik dripper does not absorb heat, leaving it inside the coffee tablet. The loss of temperature during brewing helps reduce the release of bitter substances at the final stage of brewing. Therefore, any method of coffee processing can be brewed in this pourover at high temperatures (over 98 degrees).
